“Micah was awesome coming out on a Friday afternoon and staying into the evening. He diagnosed a problem we have been having for over a year, went under the house to fix it, and made sure it was working properly afterwards. Highly recommended.”
“Great local company to work with. When supply chain failed, delivery at 10 AM they organized a emergency delivery from another sister supplier at 12:30 am to complete the installation as required.”
“I have worked with Simeone for years now, and they are amazing. Their plumbers, their office, and their ownership have been nothing but responsive and helpful and always make us a priority. Wouldn't use anyone else!!!”

Local knowledge
Rohnert Park is a planned city, laid out starting in 1956, incorporated in 1962, and built out in lettered sections. That means the plumbing here has a clear shape to it, and it is very different from an older town like Petaluma or Healdsburg.
The city’s own housing element says it plainly: growth exploded in the 1970s and 80s, when two thirds of the current housing units were built. Those two decades are 58% of the housing stock. Practically, that means a huge number of homes hit the same maintenance wall at the same time, water heaters, angle stops, hose bibs and under-sink supply lines all aging on the same clock.
Rohnert Park runs about 100 miles of gravity sewer, 7.5 miles of force main and three pump stations, and the city states that the majority of those facilities were installed between 1956 and 1980. You can see the age in the numbers: dry-weather flow runs about 3.5 million gallons a day, but winter flow climbs to as much as 15 million. That gap is rainwater getting into the sewer, through cracked pipe, bad joints, and downspouts that were never supposed to be connected.
Soil samples around Rohnert Park come back as Clear Lake clay with very high shrink-swell, the highest of any city we work in. Expansive clay swells when it is wet and shrinks when it is dry, and it does that to whatever is buried in it. It is a common reason for offset sewer laterals, stressed water service lines and slab movement here specifically.
Roughly 60 to 70 percent of the city’s water is imported Russian River water; the rest comes from city wells scattered around town. The blend shifts by season and by neighborhood. You can see it in the hardness numbers, the city system averages about 132 ppm but ranges from 103 all the way to 221. If your water seems harder than your friend’s across town, or harder in August than in March, that is why.
Rohnert Park blends imported Sonoma Water with its own groundwater, stored across seven or eight tanks holding roughly five million gallons. City well water is chlorinated before it is blended. Arsenic in the city wells has tested in a range up to 13 ppb against a 10 ppb limit, which the city reports as compliant on a running-annual-average basis, worth knowing if you are considering drinking water filtration, which we install.
Plumbing permits come from the City of Rohnert Park Building Division on Avram Avenue, and the city runs an online permit portal. Water heater replacements, repipes, sewer lateral work and gas lines all require one. We pull the permit and meet the inspector.

Because Rohnert Park blends two sources. Roughly 60 to 70 percent is imported Russian River water; the rest is city groundwater, and the mix changes with season and demand. The city’s own testing shows hardness ranging from about 103 to 221 ppm. Higher well share means harder water and faster scale in your water heater.
That pattern is classic infiltration. Rohnert Park’s sewer flows go from about 3.5 million gallons a day in dry weather to as much as 15 million in winter, rainwater getting into a system largely built between 1956 and 1980. On your property, the usual culprits are a cracked lateral, an unsealed clean-out, or a downspout tied into the sewer. A camera inspection finds it.
Yes, and Rohnert Park has the worst of it locally. The soil is Clear Lake clay with very high shrink-swell, it expands when wet and contracts when dry, year after year. That movement is a common cause of offset or cracked sewer laterals and stressed water service lines here.
Yes, through the City of Rohnert Park Building Division. It covers strapping, venting, the expansion tank and the drain pan. We handle it.
Often, yes. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm. Call and we will tell you the soonest we can be there.
