Pressure reducing valve service — protect your home from high water pressure.

Too much water pressure quietly wears out your faucets, water heater, and pipes — and can void appliance warranties. A pressure reducing valve (PRV) brings incoming pressure down to a safe range. We install, test, and replace PRVs across Sonoma County.

Good to know

Pressure & PRV questions, answered

What pressure should my house be at?

Most homes should sit around 50–70 psi. Above about 80 psi, code requires a pressure reducing valve to protect your plumbing.

How do I know if my pressure is too high?

Banging pipes, fixtures wearing out fast, or a leaking water-heater relief valve are common signs. We confirm it with a gauge.

Do I really need a PRV?

If your incoming pressure is above 80 psi, or you don’t have a working regulator, yes. We test first and tell you straight.

Can high pressure damage my water heater?

Yes — it pushes past the relief valve and stresses your water heater tank. A PRV, often with an expansion tank, protects it.

Banging pipes or pressure too strong? Let’s dial it in.
